My
Story
Get to Know Me
I began potting in 1996. After I earned my degree in Fine Arts, I traveled in Europe for close to a year before returning home to gradually settle down and open my own studio. Today I harvest clay from my property, or from near the Pecatonica River in Northern IL. I think the best things are often made from scratch so I blend my own glazes too from things like ash, earth and pigment, which lends a distinctive organic quality to my pots. All my tableware has been tested food safe and non-toxic, and it is microwave safe. I have used my own work for many years--I feel confident that you're going to love your new vessels, sculptures and commissioned pieces!
